Are the Harry Potter books that I bought at a school (Scholastic) book fair any different?

it might be reworded a little, but no it shouldnt be.If you are thinking that its different because you saw the movie ( unless its 6 or 7 ) They leave out things and its not always exactly like the book

No, but if you were able to get your hands on a copy printed in England by Bloomsbury Press, it could be different. My friend who has both said that the British versions had much more British slang in the early versions than the Scholastic versions. I don’t know if that would still be true now–there is quite a lot of Brit slang in Deathly Hallows.
